Jayanta Saha (born on 12.05.1979) is a renowned Political figure of Nadia District Trinamool Congress; he was the District President of All India Trinamool Congress (Nadia North) from 16.08.2021 to 08.03.2022. He was also the District Youth President of West Bengal Trinamool Youth Congress from 22.07.2020 to 16.08.2021. He is presently the District President of West Bengal Trinamool Primary Association (Nadia) from 17.02.2020 till date. He was also the District President of Nadia District Chhatra Parishad from 2006 to 2009. Presently he has also been acting as the Special Officer at The Krishnagar City Cooperative Bank duly appointed by Cooperation Department, Government of West Bengal since 16.08.2021. He is also the President of Managing Committee, Krishnagar High School from the year 2020 till date and the Secretary of Durgapur Anandamoy B.Ed. College situated at Bhatjangla, Nadia.

Remarkable Political Activities

As the District President of Nadia District Chhatra Parishad:

  • Conducted several movements against CPIM and SFI made malpractices concerning admission and administration to ensure clarity in the admission process so that all students can get the chance of getting education.

As the District Youth President of West Bengal Trinamool Youth Congress:

  • To boost the workers’ morale and to reconcile people with the Party he had organized the unprecedented, his brainchild programme, ‘Samannoy Yatra’ on 14th January 2021.
  • He had also organized the historical two days’ bike rally, namely ‘Janasamarthan Yatra on 6th February 2021 where more than 30000 bikes moved around 250 kms. of the Organizagtional District covering 8 Assembly Constituencies of Nadia.
  • He had also organized his brainchild programme, “Paray Paray Dim Vat” to keep healthy relations between common people and the Party.

As District President of West Bengal Trinamool Primary Teachers’ Association (Nadia):

  • During Covid 19 under his leadership the WBTPTA (Nadia) was the second highest contributor in West Bengal to contribute in the West Bengal State Emergency Relief Fund and the highest contributor among all associations and NGOs within Nadia.
  • His brainchild programme during Covid 19 “Sob Soney Mastermoshai” was an enormous success in imparting education during lockdown.
  • He also actively took part in distributing food and emergency materials during Covid and contributed a lot to stabilize the mental needs of the school going children by providing games materials during lockdown.

As the District President of All India Trinamool Congress (Nadia North):

  • He had made a regular schedule for the non-political commoners to meet and address the grievances from them.
  • He organized his brainchild programme “Paray Paray Anondomela” to socialize the children of the locality by imparting value education.
  • He organized Coordination meetings among people of all professions including Doctors, Engineers, Teachers, Writers etc. at a regular basis.
  • He also started another brainchild programme, namely “Booth Theke Zilla, Tule Ante Valo Neta” to connect all workers by providing opportunity of becoming good speakers and party worker without any influence or biasness. But the programme remained unfinished.
